How to get my patches merged upstream?
Konstantin Aladyshev
Hello!
I'm experiencing some difficulties in getting maintainers' attention to my EDKII patches. Some of the patches I've created at the end of july, now it is the end of september, so I'm a little bit worried that these patches were lost in the mailing list. I don't want to be rude, I respect maintainers time, I'm just trying to understand if my development process is correct. When I send my patches I just grab appropriate email's from the https://github.com/tianocore/edk2/blob/master/Maintainers.txt and git send-email to them and to the devel@edk2.groups.io Do I need to do something more? Maybe I need to create an issue on https://bugzilla.tianocore.org/ first? Can you please give me some advice? Current list of my unmerged patches can be found at the following link: https://github.com/tianocore/edk2/pull/3111 Best regards, Konstantin Aladyshev |

Hello! You followed the correct process. I've found that patches _do_ sometimes just get ignored/forgotten, and months later I've had to follow up about them. I'm hoping the move to GitHub Pull Requests will significantly improve this. -- Rebecca Cran |
